Please join Burdock Group in welcoming Alex LeBeau, Ph.D., who joins our team at the headquarters of Burdock Group in Orlando, Fla. Dr. LeBeau joins us from Dallas, Texas, where he worked as Toxicologist and Environmental Scientist. Dr. LeBeau has over seven years of experience in conducting exposure assessments, including evaluating exposure claims, biomarker evaluations, and assessments of toxicological outcomes.
Dr. LeBeau has experience in conducting human health risk assessments of contaminated sites using United States federal and local regulatory guidance and he has evaluated and monitored remediation activities at contamination sites. He has also been involved in consumer product safety assessments and has provided litigation support on a number of occupational and environmental exposure claims. His research has involved the examination of particulate matter and volatile organic substances in ambient air from hydraulic fracturing activities. He has also evaluated risk following exposures to pesticides.
Dr. LeBeau is the author of three chapters that review the toxicology of manganese, platinum, and platinum group elements for an updated edition of an industrial toxicology reference book, Hamilton and Hardy’s Industrial Toxicology, 6th Edition. Dr. LeBeau holds a Ph.D. degree and a MPH degree in Toxicology and Risk Assessment from the University of South Florida’s College of Public Health, and a B.S. degree in Animal Science from the University of Florida’s College of Agricultural and Life Sciences. He is an active member of the Society of Toxicology (SOT) and the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA).
